بعد نجاح محطة كهرباء غرب دمياط في دورتها البسيطة عام 2015 , استمرت شركة اوراسكوم للإنشاءات في النجاح عن طريق إنشاء المرحلة الثانية من المحطة وتحويلها لنظام الدورة المركبة لزيادة قدرة المحطة بنسبة 50% لتصبح القدرة الإجمالية 750 ميجا وات و تنتهي في منتصف عام 2018
After the success of West Damietta Simple Cycle Power Plant which was constructed in less than a year , Orascom Construction continues the succuess by constructing the extension of the power plant and conversion to Combined Cycle Power Plant to increase its capacity by 50% to reach 750 MW- to be finished by the middle of 2018.
