قال مسئول رسمى بوزارة الكهرباء لباور نيوز  ان استراتيجية مزيج الطاقة التى قام بها الائتلاف الاوربى سوفريكو ستعرض قريبا على المجلس الاعلى للطاقة لاختيار سيناريو واحد يكون الانسب للدولة المصرية مستقبلا وحددت الاستراتيجية اكثر من سيناريو لنسب مزيج الطاقة ومشاركة الطاقات الجديدة حتى عام 2035  واوقف وزير الكهرباء محمد شاكر تنفيذ مشاريع جديدة بالدورة المركبة لاعطاء الفرصة لتنفيذ خطة سوفريكو وانتهى قطاع البترول  من خلال الاستشارى الاوربى من تحديث الخطة التى وضعتها شركة نيكسنت فى 2010  وتهدف  الاستراتيجيه الي وضع تصور تفصيلي لقطاع الطاقه في مصر حتي عام 2035 بما يتماشي مع تحقيق اهداف الدوله نحو توفير أمن الطاقه علي المدي الطويل ،بالاضافه الي تحقيق الاستخدام الامثل لموارد الطاقه مع الاخذ  في الاعتبار التوجهات السياسيه والعوامل الاقتصاديه المؤثره علي المجتمع .مع استخدام نماذج محاكاة حديثه وقالت المصادر ان ذلك يهدف  الي وضع خطه متوسطة الاجل تحت مسمي (White Book) لترتيب اولويات واحتياجات قطاع الطاقه المصري ،ومن ثم وضع خطط تنفيذيه واضحه لتحقيق تلك الاستراتيجيه ،تمهيداً لعرضها علي المجلس الاعلي للطاقه للاعتماد.كما تتضمن الاستراتيجيه المحدثه وضع تصور لكيان مستقل يكون مسئولا عن تخطيط وضع الطاقه في مصر .
