استقبل نائب رئيس جمهورية غينيا الاستوائية تيودورو نجيما أوبيانج مانجي، يوم الأربعاء الموافق 7 أغسطس 2024، الدكتور مصطفى مدكور، رئيس مجلس إدارة مجموعة شركات مدكور، والسيد محمد جعفر، مدير فرع شركة مدكور في غينيا الاستوائية،وحضر الاجتماع السيد كليمنتي فيريرو فيلارينو، وزير الأشغالالعامة والاسكان وتخطيط المدن. أشار نائب الرئيس إلى اعتزازه بالعلاقات مع مصر حيث وصفها بالدولة الرائدة في إفريقيا، معربًا عن إعجابه الشديد بالإنجازات التنموية التي حققتها مصر في الأعوام الأخيرة. كما شدد على رغبة غينيا الاستوائية في الاستفادة من تلك التجربة التي تحققت أغلبها بخبرات واستثمارات مصرية، مشيرًا إلى أن بلاده تضع التعاون مع الدول الإفريقية ذات التجارب التنموية الناجحة في مقدمة أولوياتها.
وأشاد نائب الرئيس بالتطور العمراني الذي شاهده خلال زيارته الأخيرة لمصر في شهر يونيو الماضي، خاصة في مدينتي العلمين الجديدة والعاصمة الإدارية الجديدة. وأعرب عن إعجابه بما حققته مصر من إنجازات في مجال البناء والبنية التحتية في وقت قياسي.
وابدى معالي النائب اهتمامًا كبيرًا بتطوير البنية التحتية وقطاعي الكهرباء والمياه في البلاد ورأى نائب الرئيس في مجموعة شركاتمدكور الشريك المثالي لتنفيذ هذا المشروع الطموح، نظراً لخبرتها الواسعة في مجال البناء والتشييد والطاقة وتطوير البنية التحتيةوخدمات المرافق، والتي أثبتتها من خلال مشاريعها العديدة في مصر خلال العقد الماضي.
واتفق الطرفان على التعاون المشترك، بهدف تحسين مستوى معيشة المواطنين في غينيا الاستوائية من خلال تطوير البنية التحتية وتطوير قطاعي الكهرباء والمياه في في غينيا الاستوائية.
وأشار الدكتور مصطفى مدكور، رئيس مجلس إدارة مجموعة شركات مدكور، إلى أن هذا الاتفاق يمثل فرصة مهمة لتوسيع الاستثمارات المصرية في القارة الإفريقية وتعزيز الشراكة الاستراتيجية بين البلدين. حيث تعتبر هذه الشراكة خطوة مهمة ستساهم في نقل الخبرات المصرية في مجال البناء والتشييد إلى القارة الأفريقية. وأنه من المتوقع أن يكون لهذا المشروع أثر إيجابي كبير على العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين وسيفتح آفاقًا جديدة للتعاون في مجالات أخرى.
A strategic partnership between Egypt and Equatorial Guinea to develop infrastructure, electricity and water sectors, and expand Egyptian investments in Africa.
Equatorial Guinea’s Vice President, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, received Dr. Mostafa Madkour, MADKOUR Group Chairman & CEO, and Mr. Mohamed Jaafar, MADKOUR’s Branch Manager in Equatorial Guinea, with the presence of Mr. Clemente Ferreiro Villarino, Minister of Public Works, Housing and Urban Planning, on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024.
The Vice President expressed his pride in the relations with Egypt, describing it as a leading African nation. He expressed his deep admiration for Egypt’s developmental achievements in recent years, emphasizing Equatorial Guinea’s desire to benefit from this experience, much of which was achieved through Egyptian expertise and investments. He noted that his country prioritizes cooperation with African countries that have successful development experiences.
The Vice President praised the urban development he witnessed during his recent visit to Egypt in June, especially in the new cities of El Alamein and the New Administrative Capital. He expressed his admiration for Egypt’s achievements in construction and infrastructure in record time.
His Highness expressed great interest in developing the infrastructure, electricity and water sectors in the country. He sees MADKOUR as the ideal partner to execute this ambitious project, given its extensive experience in infrastructure development, energy, and utilities services, as demonstrated by its numerous projects in Egypt over the past decade.
Both parties agreed to cooperate to improve the living standards of citizens in Equatorial Guinea by developing infrastructure and the electricity and water sectors.
Dr. Mostafa Madkour, MADKOUR Group Chairman & CEO, indicated that this agreement represents a significant opportunity to expand Egyptian investments on the African continent and strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries. He stated that this partnership is an important step that will contribute to transferring Egyptian expertise in construction and engineering to the African continent. He also expected that this project would have a significant positive impact on bilateral relations between the two countries and would open new horizons for cooperation in other fields.
