يسر شركة جوجاس القابضة، إحدى الشركات المتخصصة في البحث والإنتاج والاستكشاف في مصر، والتي تركز استراتيجيًا على الإنتاج في جميع انحاء افريقيا، أن تعلن عن توقيع بنود اتفاقيتي شراء الكهرباء (PPAs) مع الشركة الموريتانية للكهرباء (SOMELEC) والشركة الوطنية للصناعة والتعدين (SNIM) في إطار المشروع المتكامل لتحويل الغاز الي كهرباء. وستكون شركة طاقة عربية المصرية من خلال شركتها التابعة روسيتا مسؤولة عن اعمال توزيع الغاز على شكل غاز مسال منقول إلى عملاء المناجم والمصانع، مما يعزز نطاق المشروع وقيمته. وقد تمت مراسم التوقيع بحضور مسؤولين حكوميين رفيعي المستوى، وبحضور وزراء خارجية مصر وموريتانيا، ووزير الطاقة والبترول الموريتاني، ووزير التجارة والسياحة الموريتاني، والسيد السفير مساعد وزير الخارجية المصري للشئون العربية، ورئيس اتحاد العمال الموريتاني، ورئيس غرفة التجارة المصرية، وكبار مسؤولي الصناعة، ووفد من رواد الأعمال الموريتانيين والمصريين
وتبني هذه الاتفاقيات المشار اليها أعلاه علي اتفاقية بيع الغاز الموقعة مسبقا بين شركة GoGas وشركة SOMELEC اعتبارًا في نوفمبر 2024. وبموجب هذه الاتفاقيات، سيحل غاز حقل باندا محل زيت الوقود الثقيل (HFO) في محطة توليد الكهرباء ثنائية الوقود الحالية، مما يضمن استهلاك ما لا يقل عن 60 مليون قدم مكعب قياسي يوميًا من إنتاج الغاز الطبيعي من حقل باندا. وتغطي اتفاقيات شراء الكهرباء الموقعة مؤخرًا إمكانية بيع الكهرباء علي المدى الطويل والتي تولد من طاقة توليدية تزيد عن 150 ميجاوات سنويًا ، والمستمدة من محطة توليد الكهرباء المستقلة (IPP) المخطط لها للمشروع بقدرة 300 ميجاوات. ويعزز هذا الإنجاز دور شركة GoGas المحوري في تنفيذ أول مشروع متكامل لتحويل الغاز إلى كهرباء في موريتانيا.
وقال خالد قاسم، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة جوجاس للانتاج:
يُمثل توقيع اتفاقيات شراء الكهرباء هذه قفزة نوعية نحو تعزيز أمن الطاقة والنمو الاقتصادي في موريتانيا.
وأضاف:وذلك باعتباره أول مشروع متكامل للغاز لتوليد الكهرباء في البلاد، فان مشروع باندا يجسد التزامنا بدفع تحول الطاقة في أفريقيا.
وجدير بالذكر انه قد جرت مراسم التوقيع خلال افتتاح المنتدى الاقتصادي الموريتاني المصري.
وقد تخللت مرحلة ما قبل التوقيع العديد من الاجتماعات الاستراتيجية على مدى أشهر، حيث عقد التحالف عدة لقاءات رفيعة المستوى بمشاركة ممثلي وزارات الاقتصاد والمالية، بهدف إتمام صياغة مخرجات المشروع والموافقات التنظيمية اللازمة.
الأهمية الاستراتيجية
في أبريل 2024، أبرمت جوجاس والشركة الموريتانية للمحروقات (SMH) اتفاقية امتياز مع حكومة موريتانيا لاستكشاف وتطوير وإنتاج الغاز من حقلي باندا وتيفيت في الساحل الموريتاني.
سيكون هذا المشروع اول استخدام للغاز في السوق المحلي للبلاد.

تم تصميم المشروع من أجل:
• تنويع مزيج الطاقة في موريتانيا من خلال التحول من زيت الوقود الثقيل إلى الغاز الأقل انبعاثات كربونية.
• تعزيز أمن الطاقة من خلال أول حل متكامل لتحويل الغاز إلى كهرباء.
• تحفيز التنمية الاقتصادية من خلال توفير طاقة فعالة من حيث التكلفة للصناعة والتعدين.
• تعزيز الاستدامة البيئية من خلال تخفيض ملحوظ في انبعاثات ثاني أكسيد الكربون.
• تأمين فرص عمل مستدامة للشباب في المجتمع المحلي.
علي ان يكون الإنتاج الأول من الغاز والكهرباء في الموعد المحدد له في أواخر عام 2028.

GoGas , SOMELEC & SNIM Sign Landmark Power Purchase Agreements under the Banda Gas-to-Power Project in Mauritania, Attended by Foreign Ministers of Egypt Mauritania as well as Mauritanian Minister of Energy & Petroleum and
Nouakchott, May 27, 2025 – GoGas Holding, one of the fastest-growing companies in Egypt with a strategic focus on Upstream investments across Africa, is pleased to announce the signing of Heads of Terms for two Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Société Mauritanienne de l’Électricité (SOMELEC) and Société Nationale Industrielle et Minière (SNIM). As part of this integrated gas-to-power initiative, TAQA Arabia, through its subsidiary Rosetta, will be responsible for the downstream distribution of gas in the form of mobile LNG to mining and industrial customers, further enhancing the project’s scope and value proposition. This significant milestone was marked by a signing ceremony attended by high-ranking governmentن officials, led by Foreign Ministers of Egypt & Mauritania, as well as the Mauritanian Ministers of Energy and Petroleum and Trade and Tourism. It was also attended by the Assistant of the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs for Arab Affairs, and senior officials from both nations.
The Heads of Terms for these PPAs build upon the previously signed Gas Sales Agreement (GSA) Heads of Terms from November 2024 between GoGas and SOMELEC. Under these agreements, Banda field gas will replace Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) at the existing dual-fuel power plant, significantly securing the consumption of at least 60 mmscfd of the Banda field’s natural gas production. The recently signed PPAs cover the potential sale of electricity generated from more than 150 MW capacity on an annual long-term basis, originating from the Project’s planned 300 MW Independent Power Plant (IPP). This milestone underscores GoGas’s role in currently delivering Mauritania’s first integrated gas-to-power project.

The signing ceremony took place during the inauguration of the Mauritanian-Egyptian Economic Forum,
Leading up to this milestone, the Consortium held numerous strategic high-level meetings, including sessions with the Representative of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, to finalize project deliverables and regulatory approvals.
Strategic Importance
In April 2024, GoGas and Société Mauritanienne des Hydrocarbures (SMH) entered a concession agreement with the Government of Mauritania to explore, develop, and produce gas from the Banda and Tevet fields in the Mauritanian coastal basin. This will be the first Gas utilization in the country.
The project is designed to:
• Diversify Mauritania’s energy mix by shifting from HFO to lower-carbon gas
• Strengthen energy security through the first fully integrated gas-to-power solution.
• Stimulate economic development by providing cost-efficient power to industry and mining
• Advance environmental sustainability via significant CO₂ emissions reductions.
• Secure job opportunities for young locals.
First gas and incremental power generation remain on track for late 2028.
