قامت شركة بتروجت – احدي شركات قطاع البترول المصري – وتحت اشراف وزاره البترول والثروه المعدنيه بتوقيع اتفاقية مع شركة كوريا للطاقة المائية والنووية الكورية “KHNP” وكيبكو للهندسة والإنشاءات ”KEPCO E&C”وهيونداي للهندسة والإنشاءات “Hyundai E&C” ودوسان للصناعات الثقيلة والإنشاءات“Doosan” ، وذلك للتعاون في مشروع محطة الضبعة النووية لتوليد الكهرباء، والذي سيتم إنشاؤه بواسطة المقاول العام الروسي شركة “أتوم ستروي إكسبورت” JSC “Atomstroyexport”.
وقد أعرب السيد/ تشانج – رئيس شركة “KHNP” خلال مراسم التوقيع التي تمت بمقر شركة بتروجت، عن إعجابه بمستوى صناعة المقاولات المصرية، وأكد على حرص الشركات الكورية على إنشاء شراكات استراتيجية طويلة المدى مع الشركات المصرية الكبرى، وعلى توطين التكنولوجيا ونقل خبرات الشركات الكورية في إنشاء المحطات النووية للشركات المصرية.
وتعتبر شركة بتروجت هي احدي الشركات الكبرى في مجال تنفيذ المشروعات الكبرى، والشركة المصرية الرائدة في التأهل بالشهادات العالمية في تنفيذ وتصنيع المحطات النووية.
وستعمل كلاً من شركات “بتروجت” و“KHNP” و”KEPCO E&C”و “Hyundai E&C” و“Doosan” بناءً على هذه الإتفاقية على دمج إمكانياتهم وتشكيل فريق قوي لدعم المقاول العام الروسي في إنشاء محطة الضبعة النووية.
يذكر أن شركة “KHNP” المملوكة لحكومة كورية الجنوبية، هي أحد أهم الشركات العالمية في صناعة الطاقة النووية، بخبرات تتعدى 50 عاماً في إنشاء وتشغيل محطات الطاقة النووية والمائية، وتعمل حالياً في تشغيل 24 وحدة في كوريا بالإضافة لإنشاء 4 وحدات جديدة بكوريا وإنشاء محطة “براكة” للطاقة النووية بالإمارات العربية المتحدة.
كما يذكر أن محطة الضبعة هي أول محطة للطاقة النووية في مصر، سيتم إنشاؤها في مدينة الضبعة بمحافظة مطروح بواسطة شركة “أتوم ستروي إكسبورت” التابعة لشركة “Rosatom” الروسية. وستتكون من 4 وحدات طاقة كهربية من الجيل الثالث المطور تعمل بتكنولوجيا المفاعلات النووية الروسيةVVER-1200 وتبلغ قدرة كل واحدة منها 1200 ميجاوات.
PETROJET (one of the Egyptian Petroleum Sector companies) is boosting cooperation with South Korean companies consist of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP), KEPCO E&C, Hyundai E&C and Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction (Doosan) to participate in the Egyptian first nuclear power plant project El Dabaa NPP, which is going to be built by JSC “Atomstroyexport” (JSC ASE), Russia as the general contractor for the project. The chairman of Petrojet, Eng. Waleed, signed a Teaming Agreement with representatives of South Korean nuclear power companies who visited Petrojet headquarters on March 16 2021.
Petrojet is one of the leading EPC companies in the Middle East and Africa with various capabilities and experiences of plant construction EPC. In particular, Petrojet plans to cooperate with KHNP based on its abundant plant construction engineers, equipments and business experience in Egypt.
KHNP, KEPCO E&C, Hyundai E&C and Doosan will pursue cooperation with local companies in Egypt based on their proven experiences and capabilities in NPP projects in Korea and in Barakah NPP project in the UAE. Chung Jae-hoon, the president of KHNP, stated that he was impressed by the high level of the Egyptian construction market and ongoing megaprojects and emphasized his commitment to localization, saying that through this agreement, KHNP plans to support training of local nuclear power technicians and experts in Egypt with no nuclear power plant construction experience. He also emphasized building long-term partnerships rather than one-offs with local companies in Egypt.
With this agreement, Petrojet, KHNP, KEPCO E&C, Hyundai E&C and Doosan are expected to form a united team to create synergy by combining their strengths to be the optimal partner for JSC ASE and participate in the successful construction of El Dabaa NPP.
Background information
KHNP, Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power Company, is a state-owned company with around 50 years of experience in construction and operation of nuclear power plants and hydropower plants. As a leader of the world nuclear power industry, it is a reliable EPC provider of nuclear power plant that vigorously pursues project collaboration opportunities abroad. The company currently operates 24 nuclear power plants and is constructing 4 more in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and 4 more in Korea.
KHNP has been constructing Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) in UAE. Once start-up sequences are complete, BNPP Unit 1 will start commercial operation in the first half of 2021. It will mark the first nuclear energy-produced electricity in the history of the country.
The El-Dabaa NPP will be the first nuclear power plant in Egypt. It will be built by JSC ASE (State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom Engineering Division) in the vicinity of El-Dabaa city in Matrouh province on the shores of the Mediterranean, about 130 km northwest of Cairo.
The El-Dabaa NPP will consist of four 1200 MW-capacity power units, each equipped with a generation 3+ VVER-1200 reactor.
