بالتعاون مع وزارة المناجم والمحروقات في غينيا الإستوائية ، نجحت شركة طاقة عربية، الرائدة في مجالات توزيع الطاقة والخدمات المتكاملة فى مصر من تحويل أول خمس سيارات للعمل بالغاز الطبيعي المضغوط للمرة الأولى في غينيا الاستوائية ، وذلك بهدف تحويل 50% من عدد السيارات في غينيا الاستوائية للعمل بالغاز الطبيعي المضغوط. وتمزج المركبات المحولة بين سيارات حكومية وأخرى خاصة بمواطنين ممن يريدون تحويل سياراتهم نظراً لإيمانهم بقوة التكنولوجيا ومستقبلها وأملاً في حماية البيئة وتوفير الطاقة.
تأتي تلك الخطوة في إطار حرص الشركة على نقل خبراتها في تقنيات تحويل و تموين السيارات للعمل بالغاز الطبيعي المضغوط (CNG/GNV) ، حيث تم تركيب أطقم التحويل اللازمة بأمان، كما تم تدريب السائقين والفنيين في الموقع، بالإضافة إلى فحص السيارات ومطابقتها للمعايير الدولية. وتعتزم طاقة عربية، بالتعاون مع وزارة المناجم والمحروقات في غينيا الاستوائية ، بذل كل جهودها وتوظيف خبراتها لتطوير مشاريع البنية التحتية للغاز في عدة مراحل بهدف تحقيق ودعم التزامات غينيا الاستوائية تجاه مستوى صفر من انبعاثات ثاني أكسيد الكربون بحلول عام 2050.

وفي هذا السياق، صرح المهندس/ خالد أبو بكر، رئيس مجلس الإدارة التنفيذى لمجموعة طاقة عربية، قائلاً: “إنها الخطوة الأولى في الرحلة الأكبر لأولى عمليات طاقة عربية في غرب إفريقيا. ونتطلع إلي تكرار قصة نجاحنا في أجزاء مختلفة من القارة”.
وتأتى المشاريع المحتملة التي تمت مناقشتها ضمن إطار دعم النظام المالي لغينيا الاستوائية للإستفادة من موارد الطاقة في البلاد، وذلك بشكل مباشر وغير مباشر، مما يؤدي إلى تقليل استيراد منتجات الوقود باهظة الثمن، بالإضافة إلى خلق بدائل أوفر للمواصلات مع توفير العديد من فرص العمل للمواهب المحلية.

TAQA Arabia Converts the first CNG cars in Equatorial Guinea

Within the framework of collaboration between the Ministry of Mines and Hydrocarbons in Equatorial Guinea and TAQA Arabia, the full-service energy and utility distribution market leader in Egypt, TAQA has successfully transferred its knowledge and know-how to introduce the CNG/GNV technology enabling cars to run with natural gas for the first time in Equatorial Guinea. The collaboration between MMH operation team and TAQA’s technical experts, has converted the first five cars to run on Compressed Natural Gas successfully. Kits were safely installed, training for drivers and technicians has been conducted on site, cars were calibrated to international standards. The Target of this successful cooperation is to convert 50% of the fleet of cars in Equatorial Guinea to run with compressed natural gas.
Converted cars were a mix between governmental and citizen cars who were eager to get their cars converted, believing in the future of the technology, the potential energy savings and protection of the environment.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Mines and Hydrocarbons in Equatorial Guinea, TAQA Arabia intends to deploy all its efforts, experience, and know-how on developing gas infrastructure projects in several phases aiming to achieve and support Equatorial Guinea commitments towards net CO2 emissions by 2050.
