زار السفير الفرنسي في القاهرة ستيفان روماتيه المصنع الإقليمي لشنايدر إلكتريك، الشركة الرائدة في مجال إدارة الطاقة والتحكم الآلي، بمدينة بدر وذلك في إطار تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية المصرية – الفرنسية في المجالات الاقتصادية، ودعم الاستثمارات والشركات الفرنسية العاملة في مصر.
وتفقد السفير الفرنسي والوفد المرافق له مراحل التصنيع المختلفة للوحات توزيع الكهرباء للجهد المنخفض والمتوسط في المصنع، كما استمع إلى شرح المهندس محمد الحفناوي، المدير التنفيذي للتسويق بشنايدر إلكتريك لقطاع الطاقة بشمال أفريقيا والمشرق العربي، حول مراحل عمليات التصنيع التي تتم لوحدات الربط الحلقية Smart RMU المستخدمة في تنفيذ 14 مركزا للتحكم والتوزيع الكهربائي والتي تعاقدت شنايدر إلكتريك مع وزارة الكهرباء والطاقة المتجددة في مصر لتنفيذها كأول شبكة ذكية على مستوى الدولة في الشرق الأوسط، وتعد وحدات الربط الحلقية الذكية (RMU) حلاً مبتكرًا يسهّل مواجهة تحديات التوزيع الكهربائي، وحماية المحولات الموصلة بها في حالة حدوث مشكلة بالشبكة أو فصل جزء من الشبكة في حالة حدوث مشكلة بالشبكة أو فصل جزء من الشبكة في حالة الصيانة؛ ما يساعد في تقليل تكاليف التشغيل وتحقيق الكفاءة والموثوقية في أداء الشبكات.
وزار “روماتيه” Innovation Hub داخل مصنع شنايدر إلكتريك والذي يوضح مجموعة الحلول الذكية التي تقدمها شنايدر إلكتريك من خلال مجموعة برمجيات EcoStruxure لمختلف قطاعات إدارة الطاقة والتحكم الصناعي، والخدمات الهندسية والتي تعتمد على تكنولوجيا إنترنت الأشياء وإدارة المعلومات.
وحرص “روماتيه” على الاستماع لكافة الإجراءات الاحترازية التي اتخذها المصنع لضمان سلامة العاملين به عقب انتشار فيروس كوفيد 19 وتوفير معدات الوقاية الشخصية والتعقيم لكافة العاملين، والعمل على التعقيم اليومي لحافلات الشركة قبل نقل الموظفين، مع توفير الأقنعة والمعقمات في الحافلات والمصنع والتشديد على ارتدائها، فضلا عن المصنع يومياً بعد كل نوبة وفي نهاية كل أسبوع.
وصرح السفير الفرنسي ستيفان روماتيه:” يعد تواجد شركة بحجم شنايدر إلكتريك في مصر بما تقدمه من استثمارات للسوق المصري، والوظائف التي تخلقها للمهندسين والفنيين المصريين دليلا على استعداد فرنسا لتكون جزءًا من التحول في الاقتصاد المصري”.
وخلال الزيارة قال المهندس وليد شتا، الإقليمي لشنايدر إلكتريك مصر وشمال أفريقيا والمشرق العربي: ” تمتاز العلاقات المصرية الفرنسية بتشعبها في كافة المجالات، وعلى مدار أكثر من ثلاثين عاما منذ بدأت شنايدر إلكتريك كأحد الشركات الفرنسية أعمالها في مصر وهي تتخذ منها مركزا لأعمال الشركة في منطقة شرق أفريقيا والمشرق العربي، ومن خلال مصنع شنايدر إلكتريك في بدر نقوم بتصدير ما يقرب من 30% من إنتاجنا ل 10 دول عربية وأفريقية ونخطط لترتفع إلى 13 دولة في الفترة القادمة”.
وأضاف “شتا”: “تحرص شنايدر إلكتريك على الحفاظ على البيئة وتقليل الانبعاثات الكربونية من خلال الابتكار في المنتجات الخالية من غاز SF6 ، وهو أحد الغازات الدفيئة التي تؤدي إلى ارتفاع درجة حرارة الأرض وتزيد من ظاهرة الاحترار العالمي، وقدمت شنايدر إلكتريك المفاتيح الكهربائية للجهد المتوسط، والتي تعد المكون الأساسي في شبكات التوزيع الكهربائية، خالية من غاز SF6 ما يمثل خطوة هامة في سبيل تقديم مزيد من المنتجات الصديقة للبيئة، وطموحنا أن يكون مصنع بدر خاليا من الانبعاثات الكربونية بحلول عام 2025”.
وأكد “شتا”: ” لدينا خطط طموحة للعمل في مصر، وقد بلغت استثمارات الشركة المباشرة خلال العامين الماضين 35 مليون يورو، كما بلغت استثمارات شنايدر إلكتريك التراكمية خلال الثلاثين عاما الأخيرة أكثر من 300 مليون يورو ؛ تشمل بناء مصنع مدينة بدر الحديث لإنتاج لوحات التوزيع بجهد منخفض ومتوسط، ومؤخراً مركز التوزيع الجديد في مدينة العاشر من رمضان والذي يضم 270 موظفا جديدا، كما قمنا مؤخرا بضخ 10 مليون يورو لرفع الطاقة الإنتاجية لمصنع بدر، كما أننا نعمل على زيادة نسبة المكون المحلى في التصنيع والتي تتراوح حاليا بين 40 إلى 60%”.

French Ambassador visits Schneider Electric’s Badr City plant, inspects manufacturing of Smart RMUs used in Egypt’s distribution and control centers
Romatet: The presence of a company as big as Schneider Electric in Egypt proves that France is ready to be part of Egypt’s economy transformation

Cairo, 14 December 2020- The French Ambassador to Egypt Stéphane Romatet, has paid a visit to the regional plant of Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, in Badr City, which came with the aim of strengthening the Egyptian-French bilateral relations in the economic fields, as well as supporting French investments and companies operating in Egypt.
During their tour inside the plant, the French ambassador and his accompanying delegation inspected the different stages of manufacturing low and medium voltage electricity distribution panels, and were given an explanation by Eng. Mohamed El Hefnawy, Executive Director of Marketing at Schneider Electric for the Energy Sector in North Africa and the Levant, about the stages of manufacturing the Smart ring main units (RMU) used in implementing 14 electrical distribution and control centers, which were awarded to Schneider Electric under an agreement with the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy as the first smart grid at the state level in the Middle East. El Hefnawy highlighted that the Smart RMUs represent an innovative solution that help overcome the challenges of electrical distribution and protect the transformers connected to them if a network problem occurs, a part of the network is disconnected, or if a part of the network is disconnected during maintenance. He added that this helps reduce operating costs and achieve efficiency and reliability in network performance.
Mr. Romatet also visited the Innovation Hub inside Schneider Electric plant, which showcases a range of smart solutions provided by Schneider Electric through the EcoStruxure technology for the various sectors of energy management, industrial control and engineering services, which are based on IoT technology and information management.
During his visit, Mr. Romatet was particularly interested in reviewing all the precautionary measures taken by the plant to ensure the safety of its workers following the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. These measures include providing personal protective equipment and sanitizers for all workers, next to daily sterilization of the factory after each shift and during the weekend. As for the bus fleet, the company’s buses are sterilized every day before transporting employees while sanitizers and face masks are available for employees on board the busses and are encouraged to always wear the masks and use the sanitizers regularly.
French Ambassador Stephane Romatet stated:” The presence of a company as big as Schneider Electric in Egypt and the investments it makes and the job it creates in Egypt is evidence that France is ready to be part of the Egyptian economy transformation.”
During the visit, Eng. Walid Sheta, Regional Cluster President of Egypt, North East Africa and Levant said: “The Egyptian-French relations are characterized by their sophistication and diversity across all fields. For more than thirty years since launching its operations in Egypt, Schneider Electric has considered the country a regional hub for its business in East Africa and the Levant. Through the Schneider Electric’s Badr plant, we export nearly 30% of our production to 10 Arab and African countries, and we plan to increase this number to 13 countries in the coming period”.
“Schneider Electric is keen to preserve the environment and reduce carbon emissions by innovating in products that are free of SF6, which is a greenhouse gas that leads to global warming and increases global warming. Schneider Electric provided the medium voltage switches, which is the main component in the electrical distribution networks, free of SF6 gas, which represents an important step towards providing more environmentally friendly products. Our ambition is to have the Badr plant free of carbon emissions by 2025,” he stressed.
Eng. Sheta added: “Schneider Electric has an ambitious plan to bolster its operations in Egypt, with our direct investments hitting 35 million euros over the last two years. The company’s total investments in Egypt amounted to 300 million euros over the last 30 years, which include the construction of its new plant in Badr City for the production of low and medium-voltage distribution panels, in addition to its a new distribution center in Tenth of Ramadan City, which includes 270 new employees. We have recently invested 10 million euros to raise the production capacity of Badr plant and we are currently in the process of increasing the percentage of local components in manufacturing, which stands currently at 40-60%”.
