أعلنت شركة السويدي إلكتريك، عن دخول السوق الآسيوي من خلال عمليتي استحواذ في قطاع المحولات في كل من إندونسيا وباكستان بقيمة 60 مليون دولار أمريكي.
وقالت الشركة في بيان للبورصة، اليوم، إنها استحواذت على 95 بالمائة من شركة PT CG Power Indonesia المتخصصة في صناعة محولات الكهرباء في أندونيسيا بطاقة إنتاجية تبلغ 10 آلاف ميجا فولت أمبير، وتقدم خدمت صيانة على مدار عمر المحولات، بالإضافة إلى إنشاء محطات محولات فرعية.
وأضافت السويدي، أنها استحوذت على 100 بالمائة من شركة Validus Engineering PVT LTD المتخصصة في صناعة محولات الطاقة الكهربائية في باكستان.
وأوضحت الشركة، أنها تخطط لإدخال تقنيتها الخاصة بمحولات الطاقة لتعزيز نمو الشركة الباكستانية لتبلغ طاقتها الإنتاجية 5500 ميجا فولت أمبير.
ولفتت السويدي، إلى أن هذه الإضافات إلى محفظة أعمال السويدي اليكتريك إلى رفع إجمالي مصنع المحولات التابعة لها إلى 6 مصانع، وستنزيد قدرة الإنتاج السنوية بأكثر من الضعف إلى 30 ألف ميجا فولت أمبير.
وذكرت الشركة، أن صفقة الاستحواذ تتيح الفرصة لاختراق أسواق جنوب شرق أسيا واستراليا، وتتوافق مع المرحلة الجديدة من النمو والتوسع المستمر في المجموعة.
وسجلت الشركة صافي ربح بلغ 3.02 مليار جنيه خلال 2020، مقابل أرباح بلغت 4.02 مليار جنيه خلال 2019.

PT CG Power Indonesia is the market leading manufacturer of power transformers with production capacity of 10,000 MVA and a specialty in mobile substations. The company also provides power transformer life cycle services, delivery & installation
The acquisition will also provide Elsewedy Electric with access to PLN, one of the largest utilities in the region which also offers potential business opportunities for several of the company’s offerings including Wire & Cable, Energy Management Solutions and EPC. The existing procurement synergies will allow the company to leverage the factory’s relations built on volume. The factory will serve as an export base for Elsewedy Electric in Southeast Asia with access to new geographies and client base, further expanding their presence in Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and the Philippines
Validus Engineering is a leading transformer manufacturer in Pakistan, a highly protected market that is on a very steep growth trajectory. Elsewedy plans to introduce its Power Transformer technology to boost the growth of the company. This acquisition will entail an intensive capital expenditure plan to further enhance the capabilities of the company and bring its power transformer capacity up to 5,500 MVA
These latest additions to the Elsewedy Electric business portfolio will bring the total transformer factories under Elsewedy Electric to six and will more than double total annual production capability to 30,000 MVA. The acquisition of PT CG Power Indonesia will further enhance Elsewedy Electric’s ability to produce superior quality performance transformers of up to 500 MVA, 550KV, the highest voltage in Indonesia and Southeast Asia
In addition, the acquisitions will further enhance the company’s ability to meet the diverse, sophisticated needs of its clients while also extending its reach into new markets with significant potential for even wider expansion to additional untapped markets
