شنايدر إلكتريك تسرع عملية تحقيق هدف حيادية الكربون في نظامها الإيكولوجي الموسع بحلول عام 2025، وذلك قبل 5 سنوات من موعده المحدد.

أكدت شنايدر إلكتريك خلال مشاركتها في الدورة الخامسة والعشرين من مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة للتغير المناخي”” COP على طموحها في أن تكون نموذجًا يحتذى به في مكافحة تغير المناخ، وذلك من خلال تقديم الخدمات والحلول التي تمكن عملائها من الحد من انبعاثات ثاني أكسيد الكربون الناتجة عن نشاطها ومن خلال التخلص منها ذاتياً.
وينعكس هذا في الالتزامات التي تم التأكيد عليها خلال أسبوع المناخ كجزء من “طموح الأعمال من أجل 1.5 درجة مئوية – مستقبلنا الوحيد”. وقد شاركت شنايدر إلكتريك خططها التي تهدف إلى: التعاون مع الموردين من أجل تحقيق سلسلة توريد خالية من انبعاثات الكربون بحلول عام 2050، والتخلص من الانبعاثات الكربونية الناتجة عن التشغيل وتقليل انبعاثات النطاق الثالث بنسبة 35% بحلول عام 2030 (مقابل عام 2017) كجزء من هدفها القائم على العلوم والمصادق عليه والمتمثل في تحقيق سقف الزيادة في درجة الحرارة عند 1.5 درجة مئوية، تحقيق حيادية الكربون في عملياتها عن طريق موازنة الانبعاثات المتبقية بحلول عام 2025، والوصول إلى الهدف المتمثل في حيادية الكربون في نظامها الإيكولوجي الموسع، والمحدد في اتفاق باريس بشأن تغير المناخ، عن طريق تحقيق المزيد من الوفورات من ثاني أكسيد الكربون لعملائها بشكلٍ أكبر من البصمة الكربونية
وقال خوسو أوغارتي، رئيس شركة شنايدر إلكتريك إيبريا: “يعد تغير المناخ أحد أكبر التهديدات التي يواجهها كوكب الأرض والشعوب بأكملها، لذا يجب علينا أن نعمل معًا لنوقف ارتفاع درجة الحرارة، وتلعب الشركات دورًا رئيسيًا في الحد من البصمة الكربونية، ولهذا السبب، انضمت الشركة مؤخرًا إلى مجموعة من أوائل من تبنوا حملة “طموح الأعمال لدرجة 1.5 مئوية” بهدف تسليط الضوء على هذا الوضع ومحاولة جذب المزيد من القادة في سبيل تحقيق هذا الهدف، كما نعمل في إسبانيا على مواصلة تنفيذ نماذج جديدة لشراء وبيع الطاقة من خلال اتفاقيات شراء الطاقة، والتي تسمح بتحديد أسعار أكثر تنافسية على مدى فترة زمنية محددة. وبفضل توقيع هذه العقود، من الممكن الاستثمار في المزيد من الأصول المتجددة في جميع أنحاء البلاد.”
حرصت شنايدر إلكتريك على أن تكون من المساهمين الرئيسيين في مكافحة تغير المناخ على مدار الخمسة عشر عامًا الماضية، وذلك من خلال تنفيذ عروضها الخاصة بإدارة الطاقة والأتمتة الصناعية في كافة عملياتها، من خلال دعم عملائها في تحقيق أهدافها المنخفضة الكربون وذات الكفاءة وتمكين أكثر من 24 مليون شخص من الحصول على الكهرباء. وفي عام 2019، أكدت برامج شنايدر إلكتريك تأثير الاستدامة على هذا الطموح، فقد تم توفير ما يزيد عن 70 مليون طن من ثاني أكسيد الكربون من جانب عملائها، كما تم تحسين كفاءة ثاني أكسيد الكربون في النقل بنسبة 8.8%، وأكدت الشركة على استهلاك الطاقة الكهربائية المتجددة بنسبة 45% في جميع أنحاء العالم، كما تم تجنب استهلاك أكثر من 77 ألف طن من الموارد الأولية من خلال العروض الدائرية.
وتعمل شنايدر إلكتريك على تسريع وتيرة الابتكار من خلال العروض الدائرية ونماذج الأعمال الجديدة، والتي تمكن من صيانة المنتجات وإصلاحها وتحديثها وتعديلها لفترة أطول، وإعادة معالجتها في نهاية أعمارها. ومنذ عام 2015، تم تضمين برنامج ecoDesign WayTM الخاص بشنايدر إلكتريك في استراتيجيتها الخاصة بالبحث والتطوير لتصميم عروض جديدة تكون دائرية من حيث التصميم وتقديم فوائد بيئية إضافية للعملاء.

شنايدر إلكتريك في تسريع انتقال المناخ لعملائها
تقوم شنايدر إلكتريك، من خلال خدمات الطاقة والاستدامة، بتقديم المشورة لعملائها في أكثر من 100 دولة حول استراتيجياتهم الخاصة بانبعاثات الكربون وتوفير الطاقة النظيفة، وكذلك تحقيق الكفاءة في المرافق الخاصة بهم والحفاظ على النتائج بمرور الوقت من خلال الشراكات طويلة الأجل. وفي عام 2019، زادت إيرادات خدمات الطاقة والاستدامة بنسبة 20.2%، مما أظهر مدى التسارع في عملية التخلص من انبعاثات الكربون.
ويتم توضيح كيفية تأثير هذه الشراكات على الكربون مع عملاء مثل شركة أجريال، وهي شركة زراعية فرنسية تعمل في جميع أنحاء أوروبا، والتي شرعت في عام 2015 في تنفيذ برنامج كفاءة مع خدمات الطاقة والاستدامة، وذلك بهدف خفض الطاقة بنسبة 10% لجميع المواقع التابعة لها، وبعد أن أثبت الموقع التجريبي نجاحه، والذي تجاوز حتى الوفورات المضمونة، انضم 46 موقعًا آخر إلى المشروع حتى الآن، مما قلل بشكلٍ كبيرٍ من انبعاثات الغازات المسببة للاحتباس الحراري.
وعلق فيليب ديز، نائب رئيس خدمات الطاقة والاستدامة لمنطقة أوروبا والشرق الأوسط وإفريقيا، قائلاً: “من المشجع حقًا أن نرى أن معظم عملائنا لديهم بالفعل الكثير من الإجراءات الرائعة المعمول بها. ومن خلال خدماتنا، نحاول التواصل بين كافة الإدارات الداخلية التي تعمل في مجال توفير الطاقة النظيفة، وبرامج فعالية الطاقة أو إجراءات الاستدامة وجعلها تتحرك في نفس الاتجاه، والمتمثل في حقيق الهدف الكربوني القائم على العلم والذي يتبع المسار الخاص بتحقيق سقف درجة الحرارة عند 1.5 درجة مئوية.
العمل اليوم من أجل عالم أكثر شمولية
قامت شنايدر إلكتريك على مدار أكثر من 10 سنوات بتطوير برنامج الوصول إلى الطاقة والذي سيزود نحو 80 مليون شخص بالكهرباء بحلول عام 2030، وذلك بفضل العروض ونماذج الأعمال التي تقدمها. وفي الأسبوع الماضي، حصل اثنان من الحلول، وهما Villaya Community Emergency و Homaya PAYG على جائزة سولار إمبلس. والتي يمنحها فريق من خبراء العلوم والمالية المستقلين بقيادة برتراند بيكارد. ويتم منح الجائزة للحلول التي تثبت جاذبيتها اقتصاديًا وبيئيًا. وقد أدرجت هذه الحلول ضمن الـ 1000 حل التي يمكنها تغيير العالم للأفضل.

Cairo, Egypt, 12 – At COP25, Schneider Electric reaffirmed its ambition to be a role model in the fight against climate change, by delivering services & solutions that allow its customers to reduce more CO2 emissions than those induced by its activity and by seriously decarbonizing itself.
This is reflected by the commitments made during Climate Week as part of the “Business Ambition for 1.5°C – Our Only Future”. The Group shared its plans for: (1) engaging with suppliers towards a net-zero supply chain by 2050 (2) achieving net-zero operational emissions and reduce scope 3 emissions by 35% by 2030 (vs 2017) as part of its validated 1.5°C SBT target (3) being carbon neutral in its operations by offsetting remaining emissions no later than 2025 (4) reaching by 2025 – 5 years in advance – its COP21 goal of carbon neutrality in its expanded ecosystem, by delivering more CO2 savings to its customers than its carbon footprint

Through Energy and Sustainability Services (ESS), Schneider Electric is advising clients in more than 100 countries on their carbon strategy and clean energy procurement, delivering efficiency in client facilities and sustaining results over time through long-term partnerships. In 2019, revenues from ESS increased by 20.2%, demonstrating the acceleration of decarbonization.
How these partnerships can impact on carbon is demonstrated with clients like Agrial. The French agricultural group with operations across Europe has embarked in 2015 on an efficiency program together with ESS, targeting a 10% energy reduction for all of Agrial’s sites. After demonstration of success with the pilot site, that even exceeded the guaranteed savings, 46 sites have joined the project to date, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Acting today for a more Inclusive world
Schneider Electric has developed for more than 10 years the Access to Energy program which will notably provide access to electricity to 80 million people by 2030 thanks to its offers and business models. Last week, two solutions, Villaya Community Emergency and Homaya PAYG solution have been awarded the Solar Impulse label. It is given by a team of independent scientific and financial experts led by Bertrand Piccard. The Solar Impulse label highlights solutions that are proven to be economically and environmentally attractive. These solutions are now part of the 1,000 solutions that can change the world for the better.
“Access to energy is a basic human right, but it is also crucial that we are mindful of the effects of energy consumption on the environment,” Gilles Vermot Desroches said. “We must find ways to bring energy-poor populations access to energy and allow them to develop in a sustainable way.”

In line with TCFD recommendations, Schneider Electric launched 2 years earlier a prospective approach on climate change and energy transition, by setting up a dedicated organization in charge.
