Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) conducts a maintenance program to steaming units in El Karimat, installed for 60 days and finishes the maintenance program to UEEPC

An official from UEEPC stated that MHPS will carry out a comprehensive maintenance to the steam unit of the installed power generating station in El Karimat.

He pointed out that the Japenese Company will start the maintenance by the beginning of the next month; which will include steam turbine check and spare parts installation. This will take 60 days before entering the summer season.

Furthermore, the official expressed that; last September, UEEPC conducted a maintenance program on the steam needed in El Karimat and the second unit in the Walidia station in Assiut and one of the gas units of the station installed in El Karimat. He denied that there are any plans to stop the steam units of South Helwan station from operating; assuring that, this matter is not currently discussed.
