An official from SHELL International states that Royal Dutch reached a technical agreement with Rashid Petroleum to start implementing the development of the 10th phase B in West Delta. In addition, they agreed on drilling 7 wells, 4 of which are two layered.
He clarified that Rashid leadership are, currently, working on revising the cost of the project as that it would be as low as possible to benefit from what was done in phase 9. The cost was decreased from $741M to $604M by studying all the possible way to reduce the cost in which it is economically acceptable.
Furthermore, the official hinted that the cost of the stagw 10 “B” would not exceed $500 million in investments, after it was estimated at $660 million.
