The Minister highlights the launch of the implementation of the East Al-Owaynat and Jabal Al-Kamel stations and the acceleration of the implementation of the Toshka 2 extension, the 500 kV initiative to feed development projects.

A significant meeting was held today by Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity, with around 10 private and public companies implementing stations and link lines projects in the east of Al-Owaynat and Toshka, in the south of the country.
The Meeting in which Eng. Sabah Mashally, Chmn of the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company and Engineer Salah Ezzat, a full-time member of the Southern Zone, includes a variety of companies, including El Sewedy Electric, Kahromica, Heidelco, Mega, Eleject, El-Gohary and TBEA Hyosung, and the Egyptian Alliance for Electrical Power Systems and PGESCO.
The Minister concentrated on the timely completion of the implementation of the projects currently underway before the scheduled period to feed construction projects in the region and requested the companies to inform him of the challenges and obstacles to resolve them immediately.
The project includes three link lines for different voltages and 3 transformer stations are the extension of the Toshka 2 station implemented by the El Sewedy T&D Transformer Station and the East Owainat Transformer Station has a voltage of 220 kV, the implementation of the TBEA-Hyosung-Moon Alliance and the 66-kV Mountain Transformer Station, the implementation of the Sieyuan-Mega Alliance for Construction and Installation.
The companies expressed gratitude for the conditions Egypt is currently facing and vowed to complete the projects in compliance with the directives of the Minister of Electricity as part of the contingency measures to tackle the Coronavirus.
