Joint declaration about Isralian gas transferring to Egypt.
Both of the Energy Ministers of Egypt and Israel announced the first natural gas pump from Israel to Egypt today.
This represents an important development that serves the economic interests of both countries; as this development will enable Israel to transfer quantities of its natural gas to Europe through the Egyptian liquified natural gass factories, within the framework of Egypt’s growing role as a regional gas center.
Each of the ministers Eng. Al-Mulla and Dr. Staines announced this development during the Ministerial Conference of the Eastern Mediterranean Gas Forum, which will be held on Thursday in Cairo.
It is expected that the Egyptian, Cypriot, Israeli, Greek, Italian, Jordanian and Palestinian energy ministers will agree to establish a regional gas organization during the summit.
