Today, Based on the invitation of Edge Technology, which specializes in remote monitoring systems for distribution networks, Eng. Gaber Desouki, Chmn of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Co. and the heads of the Republic-wide distribution companies met today, in particular Eng. Mohamed El Sayed, Chmn of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the Canal Company and Eng. Raafat Shamaa, President of the Middle Egypt Electricity Company, Eng. Medhat Fouda, Chmn of the Alexandria Electricity Distribution Company, Eng. Hamdi Okasha, President of Al-Buhaira Electricity Distribution Company, Engineer Mohamed Assal, Chmn of North Delta Electricity Distribution Company, Mr. Eng. Hossam El Din Afifi, Chmn of the North Cairo Electricity Distribution Company and Accountant, Mohamed Al-Sisi, President of South Cairo Electricity Distribution Company, Eng. Mohamed Abdel Hakam, President of South Delta Electricity Distribution Company, and Eng. Sami Abu Warda, President of Upper Egypt Electricity Distribution Company, in the presence of Dr. Eng. Khaled Al-Dastawi, full-time member for distribution and holding affairs, Nadia Qatari, full-time member for financial and commercial affairs, and accountant Mohsen Khalaf, full-time member of human resources and training.
The invitation aims to present Edge Technology’s experience nationally by clarifying the results of the organization in determining the technical and commercial loss percentage over networks level.
During the meeting, Eng. Ramy El Fouly, Edge Technology Managing Directory; Eng. Tariq Abu Basha, the Chairman; Mr. Omar Heikal, CEO of Edge Technology, presented the experiments’ results, in both networks of South Cairo Electricity Distribution Co. and Alexandria Electricity Distribution Co., in order to evaluate the experiment in preparation for its circulation on the level of companies.
The Egyptian joint-stock company, Edge Technology, which was established in the year 2008, works in the field of management and electrical energy conservation. Furthermore, it provides many smart high-tech solutions that have contributed significantly in electrical energy conservation in many sectors.
From these systems, there is the ELECTOR distribution network management system ; which considered as a real core towards a smart distribution network, in line with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s plan; “Smart Egypt by the year 2030.”
