An offical of the Ministry of Electricity stated that; next Sunday; the 12th of Jan, EETC will launch the transmissions of the electrical linkage between Egypt and Sudan. “The first phase includes exporting 50 gigawat; followed by 300 gigawat,” He continued.
Furthermore, he assured that the Sudanese side is about to sign the commercial contract for the first phase; clarifying that, “ In Sudan, they are looking forward to this cooperation and we are thrilled about it as well. This will enhance the relationship between the two countries.”
The Indian Company, Larsen & Toubro; the main executional contractor, has successfully completed the implementation of the first electrical link line between Egypt and one of the countries of the African continent. The officials of the company expressed their great happiness of this project.
