Abu Qir Petroleum issues a global bid on EPIC’s development project for North Amreya and North Idku

According to the Ministry Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ plan to intensify research and exploration process to work on increasing production to bridge the gap between consumption and production; in the lights of the growing rates of continuous consumption; to enable providing all petroleum products.

The Company has issued a global bid on EPIC’s development project for North Amreya and North Idku; which includes the drilling of 4 development wells and link them under the sea surface from the northern dock-3 Abu Qir to the El Maadya’s land treatment station to the gas national station.

It is noteworthy that Abu Qir Petroleum; recently, launched a bid for the Engineering Study project, in which 3 international companies participated, and they were commissioning and casting Sea Seven and Baker Hughes.

The technical evaluation sheets yielded by the expertises of Abu Qir and an engineering consultant to accept these companies technically to prepare it to participate in EPIC’s bid.

According to the proposed timetable of the project; by Edison and Abukir Petroleum, it is expected that the start of gas production of this project will be during the fourth quarter of 2021.
