A Petrobel offical declared that a $13.9 million construction of 18 inches-diameter marine line, from petrico to the offshore pp2 platform with a length of 10.5 km, was assigned to PMS.
The official clarified that the project implementation period is approximately 11 months, divided into two months for the sea line and 9 months for the land link.
He also suggested that Enppi had tendered for the line to international companies.
In addition, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced that Petrobel, Belayim Petroleum Company, achieved a petroleum discovery in Abu Rudeis Sidri Area, in Sinai fields.
This took place by digging the exploration well Sidri 23, in which they succeeded in reaching the deep layers of the pre-Miocene era.
In which a crude oil-bearing layer with a vertical thickness of 35 meters of sedimentary rocks and 65 meters of limestone was discovered and the well was completed and produced from sedimentary rocks through the productive facilities already available in the discovery field.
The report pointed out that the discovery represents a new challenge to the company in the lights of the aging production field in 1957; which is considered as one of the oldest fields in Egypt.
Furthermore, it indicated that the company set an expansion and growth plan to the region. This includes the drilling of 10 development wells at a daily production rate of 3,000 oil barrels; at least.
Interestingly, production optimization is being studied through the application of hydraulic fracturing technology.
These positive results of the exploration wells have encouraged the foreign partner to raise its investment in the various concession areas of the company.
