Eng. Tariq Al Mulla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, welcomed Mr. Brandon Bechtel, President of the American Bechtel Company, in the presence of Eng. Ahmed Samir, the Managing Director of the National Red Sea Refining and Petrochemical Company.
During the meeting, they discussed Bechtel’s activities in cooperation with the petroleum sector in the completed petroleum projects and the new ones which are currently under preparation for implementation. In particular, the Red Sea refining and petrochemical project that will be held in Suez.
Moreover, Bechtel expressed its desire to participate in the implementation of this project as a contractor to carry out engineering works, designs, supply equipments and provide financial financing for the project.
For his part, Bechtel’s president confirmed that the investment climate in the oil sector is very favorable, praising the rates of the current achievements, the commitment of the oil sector and the hard work to give strong payments to implement oil projects in accordance with specific timelines and international standards.
Not only that but also, he praised the empowering steps to let qualified young leaders take over the leadership of the oil sector companies, in order to achieve the interests and goals of the sector.
